OTHER OFFER

the Pacquiao-Hatton match on May 2 2009 almost come to an end when Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams said that if it is not 50-50 and if Manny continues to pursue for a 60-40 share on the fight which is set for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas the match will not take place.
"We have the offer of another massive fight in the summer, in the British Isles, which would bring a crowd of 80,000 or more", Hatton told John Rawling.
"We are extremely serious in our threat that we will pull the plug on Pacquiao and go for the alternative if that contract is not signed. We will not be messed around" says Ricky Hatton's father and manager Ray Hatton.

NO DEAL

"Manny was not present when Bob Arum put the offer on the table ( on Dec. 29 2008 in Los Angeles) and Manny Didn't agree to the 50-50 split. On the table was Bob, me and Freddie, and I only relayed the result of the meeting to Manny after the dinner meeting because he went out to talk to somebody" says Franklin Gacal (Manny's Lawyer) to deny what Bob Arum told the US media about the 50-50 share from Pacquiao-Hatton match on May 2 2009.
Gacal also said that " Manny wanted a bigger percentage, and not equal sharing. Manny was not consulted about the 50-50 sharing that Arum presented to Golden Boy Promotions. He(Manny) should have been consulted and he should have agreed first before Arum made a commitment with Golden boy Promotions".
